Sunday 11th August, we had 17 bikes and 19 of us for the ride to the Hilltop Cafe, Folkstone. Sea mist on our arrival but the sun soon cleared it.
Wednesday 14th another good turnout for the long way round ride to The Robin Hood via Rye, Camber, Lydd, Appledore and Military Canal.
Sunday 17th several of us sat outside the Dolphin along Rock a Nore drinking a few beers helping Charlie celebrate his stag do, he can't remember much about it so it must have been a good one.
On the fourth attempt due to lockdown restrictions on Thursday 29th Charlie and Gemma finally were able to tie the knot. With the ceremony taking place at Hastings Town Hall followed by the reception at The Robin Hood who done them proud, The 1066 Rockitmen went down a storm.
Saturday 31st we were hoping it would be third time luckily for the 20 of us on the breakfast run to Happy Days cafe on the A22, sorry to say even after warning them we were coming we still had to wait too long for our breakfast, so they are off the list for a while. Although the food was good when it finally arrived it was too long a wait. It was nice to see Liz from Polegate join us for the run, which also included our new tale end Charlie, Mike on the trike.
In the afternoon it was the Rother Summer Pub Crawl round Hastings Old Town, we did not crawl far as there was a music festival on and the Old Town was heaving so it was decided that we stayed put in the Dolphin as we all had seats and the beer quality and selection was good.
Saturday 4th September - breakfast run leaving Esso 9am, meal at the Robin Hood in the afternoon TBC.
