With breakfast runs, evening ride outs and British bike Night August was a busy month for the Rother Branch.
13 of us were on the breakfast unto The Teapot Island in Yalding on Sunday 8th, we dodged the rain on the way there but there was no dodging it on our way back.
It was British Bike Night at The Robin Hood on Wednesday 11th, Excellent turn out with over 100 motorcycles on display in the car park. Thank you Mandy, Rod and Sue for serving the teas and coffees, it was much appreciated, a good bit raised for The Air Ambulance this years chosen charity.
Sunday 15th we had 15 on the breakfast run to a new venue for us, Orchard Tea Rooms in Hartfield, we were very impressed, service Food spot on, another one for the list.
The following Wednesday the club night run to The Six Bells Chiddingly, had 20 of us leave the Esso then after the Pevensey railway crossing it all went pear-shaped. At the end of Beachy Head there was only 7 of us, thankfully on the arrival to the Six Bells the rest of the group were waiting for us. All good fun.
Saturday 21st another new breakfast run venue for us was the Lord Whisky tea rooms Lyminge as recommended by Bob and Roger. Lovely little place in the middle of nowhere, that's been added to the list.
Wednesday 25th there was 9 of us on the long way round to the Robin Hood.
Saturday 28th we had 14 of us on the Teapot Island breakfast run and we got home dry this time.
Congratulations to Rother member Derek who achieved a milestone of 100,000 miles on his explorer. All done on the original battery too.
