Nacelle Report

JUNE 2023

Hi Folks,

We had a breakfast run every weekend during April, starting off on 2nd with The Oasis Cafe Old Romney, Teapot Island Yalding, Lord Whisky Tea Rooms Rhodes Minis, Billys on the Road Billinghurst, finishing off with John leading 13 to Ripleys Garden Centre Bethersden on 29th. If you're not getting text notifications about the ride outs and would like to be notified you need to let me know your mobile number.

Wednesday 19th was our second quarterly meeting of the year. Mick has taken over the vacant treasury post, Colin K has launched the branch's road name sign challenge which runs from 6th May through to the end of September, Your chance to win £100, email Colin for details, Rother Branch members only.

One of our main topics discussed was our Rabbit Rally which unfortunately is not happening in 2023 but will be back in 2024, 12th-14th July at a new venue, details will follow.

Friday 21st over 20 of us had an evening of laughter at the comedy night down at the Angling Club, thank you Rod for arranging it for us.

Wednesday 26th was our first club night ride out with 19 of us for the Herbie run followed by lovely fish'n'chips at The Robin Hood. Colin & Eileen had planned to join us but unfortunately Colins bike had other ideas, clutch problems left them stranded on the A21.

Gary & Tax, Bob and myself attended the Somerset Trifest at the end of April and had a really good weekend meeting up with other branch members. Great band on the Saturday night with special guest, our friend Freddie Hepburn blasting out some really fabulous tunes. Congratulations to Mike who won best bike on show with his 2007 Tiger 1050. It looked immaculate mate.
