Nacelle Report

April 2022

Hi Folks,

Firstly it is with great sadness to report the passing of Liz Mitchell on 7th February. Liz worked at the Robin Hood Pub for many years , she loved our biked club and enjoyed helping serving the breakfasts at our Rabbit Rallies, working with Sue on all our British Bike Nights on the BBQ, serving at our Xmas meals etc. she will and is sorely missed. R.I.P Liz, our thoughts are with her family.

Thank you for those of you that attended Rother Charity Quiz Night at The Robin Hood on Saturday 5th February, I am pleased to report we raised £275 towards this years chosen charity, The Air Ambulance, Kent, Sussex and Surrey. Also thank you to the Robin Hood for doing a great deal of food, Mandy for getting the lovely raffle prizes, Bob & Mel for their time and effort in sorting out the questions and chairing the quiz. It was a very enjoyable evening.

Early in the day there was 9 of us on the breakfast run in the sunshine to the Stables Tea Rooms at Heavens Farm.

Saturday 12th we had nearly 50 of us on the coach to the Excel to The Motorcycle cycle Show. Although the show was a lot smaller this year it was still a great day out with the club with breakfast at The Robin Hood before departure and Fish'n'chips and a pint on our return. Huge thanks to Rod for organising it all, much appreciated.

The following Sunday with the stormy weather about we decided to play safe and those that wanted to meet down the angling club for breakfast. We had 16 turn up. We do like our breakfasts here in Rother.

Saturday 26th Chris led 8 with 2 on pillion over to the Orchard Tea Rooms for the breakfast run again in the sunshine.
